Nail Surgery for the treatment of:

painful ingrown toenails and thickened fungal toenails

Nail surgery is generally performed when a portion of the toenail has become embedded into the side of the toe and cannot be removed conservatively. It is a simple, in office procedure generally performed under local anesthesia. A chemical cauterizing agent can be applied to the growth plate, at the base of the nail, which will prevent the small portion of removed toenail from re-growing. After the procedure the patient is able to comfortably walk out of the clinic and can return to work or school the next day.
