Tenotomy

A tenotomy is performed when the tendon is overly tight, causing a misalignment in the bone position of the toe.

A hammertoe is one such example. It occurs when two opposing muscle groups cause the toe to “buckle”. For this procedure to be successful the joints in question must be flexible (i.e. the joint must be movable).

A tenotomy is a minimally invasive surgery that can be performed comfortably in office. The procedure does not require any time off work and the patient is able to ambulate immediately.

Do you have? Are you suffering from?

  • Abnormal bend in the joints such as hammertoes or crooked toes
