Nail Fungus

Yeast and fungus infect the nail plate, discolouring nails and possibly leading to permanent damage. Topical agents and other treatments relieve symptoms and prevent permanent damage.

Other signs and symptomsof fungal toenails include:

• Thickened nail
• White nail has turned to a yellowish or brown discolouration
• Nail has become brittle, crumbly or ragged
• Toenail has become distorted in shape
• Foul odor coming from toe
• Debris building up under the nail resulting in a dark colour appearing
